Have you ever had those times where you were confused about the direction you should go in or your best next steps forward?
I know that some of the most challenging times were those times when I just didn’t have the answers. I knew something was “off” and needed to change, but I was unsure if what I was doing was going to get me to the “light at the end of the tunnel”.
I can remember exactly how heavy that felt. I was literally questioning everything and my mind would just run endlessly. I was confused and worried about the future and how things would play out totally overshadowed the day I was experiencing. But, as awful as some of those days felt, they left me with an important takeaway message –
ALIGN YOUR THOUGHTS
The battlefield where all the rage and war is taking place is in the mind which is the center of our thoughts. In times like this, we actually do not think straight because the anxiety fast-forwards the process. So, all I did was sit on floor in the center of my bedroom legs crossed inhaling and exhaling till I felt safe enough to think. It takes a conscious effort to think and most importantly to think the right thoughts.
Choose to overshadow any worries or uncertainty. This is an active process and you’ve got to be very deliberate about managing any worries. Don’t deny they are there. Let them rise to the surface, but then continually remind yourself that everything will work out. Create the good habit of focusing on what you know deep down — everything really will unfold perfectly.
DECIDE TO DECIDE
Not taking a decision on its own is a decision, so the best thing to do is make conscious effort to make a decision. If you only align your thoughts without been ready to decide then you have just stepped out as a sheep amongst the wolves because that same thought will devour you.
SEE GOD
God is always a factor in our lives, He know what we going through and He can calm our tempered mind.
I have compiled few scriptures that helped me, it can help you too.
(Proverbs3:5-6KJV) (5) Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
(Psalms 32:8 KJV) (8) I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
(Psalms55:22KJV) (22) Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
(Isaiah43:2KJV) (2) When thou passest through the waters, I {will be} with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
(Isaiah30:21KJV) (21) And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This {is} the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
(Philippians4:6-7KJV) (6) be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. (7) And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
BE PATIENT
Patiently wait for any answers or direction you are looking for, but make sure you are taking steps forward today by living it in the best way possible. Always remember that the way you create the future you want, is by living today in the best way you can.
Don’t forget… it’s for your advantage.
